Our philosophy of care has been shaped by our years of experience supporting birthing families and our core beliefs serve as the foundation of our midwifery practice.
- While the safety and well-being of the mother and baby is our utmost priority, we believe nurturing women on their own journey to becoming mothers is part of that priority.
- It is important to provide a safe and comfortable place for women and their families to come and engage in their own care during the perinatal period.
- A key part of our role is to provide education, resources, and tools for our clients to make truly informed choices.
- We support women to have a biodynamic birth and practice according to the Midwifery Model of Care. Interventions are used only when necessary. While maintaining the safety and well-being of the mother and her baby, the birth is woman-led with space given to her and her birth partner. In the event that a mother or her baby need extra help, we are highly trained in emergencies and bring emergency supplies to all home births.
